Itinerary
Plopsaland Basecamp is situated in De Panne, within walking distance of Plopsaland Belgium and a short distance from the beach. Thanks to the convenient connections via the Coastal Tram (De Panne Plopsaland stop) and De Panne railway station, you can easily reach the Basecamp by public transport. If you’re travelling by car, Plopsaland Basecamp is easily accessible via the E40, with plenty of parking available nearby.
By the Coastal Tram
Thanks to the Coastal Tram, you can travel easily to and from Plopsaland Basecamp from all Belgian coastal towns. The ‘De Panne Plopsaland’ stop is a short walk from the Basecamp.
- Summer months: every 10 minutes
- Spring and autumn: every 15 minutes
- Winter months: every 20 minutes (every 15 minutes during the school holidays)
From the stop, it’s an easy walk to Plopsaland Basecamp, where your stay in De Panne can begin straight away. Thanks to its ideal location close to Plopsaland Belgium and excellent public transport links, you’ll enjoy a hassle-free and comfortable arrival.
By train
De Panne station is a short distance from Plopsaland Basecamp and offers direct connections to various towns and cities in Belgium. Trains depart and arrive every hour to and from destinations including Ghent-Sint-Pieters, Antwerp Central, Brussels South and Leuven.

By car
Plopsaland Basecamp is easily accessible by car and is situated close to junction 1 (Adinkerke) on the E40. Thanks to its convenient location next to Plopsaland Belgium, you can reach the Basecamp quickly and comfortably from anywhere in Belgium.

From Antwerp
From Antwerp, follow the E17 towards Ghent and, at the Zwijnaarde junction, take the E40 towards Ostend. At the Jabbeke junction, keep left towards Veurne-Nieuwpoort and take exit 1 (Adinkerke). Then turn right, go round the roundabout, cross the bridge over the Duinkerkevaart and cross the level crossing until you reach the next roundabout. After passing Plopsaland, turn left and follow Duinhoekstraat towards Bray-Dunes. The entrance to Plopsaland Basecamp is about 500 metres further on.
From Ghent or Brussels
From Ghent or Brussels, follow the E40 towards Ostend. At the Jabbeke junction, keep left towards Veurne-Nieuwpoort and take exit 1 for Adinkerke. Then follow the same route across the bridge over the Duinkerkevaart, over the railway crossing and along Duinhoekstraat towards Bray-Dunes. After about 500 metres, you’ll reach Plopsaland Basecamp.
From Hasselt
From Hasselt, follow the E313 towards Antwerp and, at the Lummen junction, take the E314 towards Leuven and Brussels. Via the Brussels ring road, you’ll reach the E40 towards Ostend. At the Jabbeke junction, keep left towards Veurne-Nieuwpoort and take exit 1 for Adinkerke. Then drive along the Duinkerkevaart and Duinhoekstraat towards Bray-Dunes, where you’ll find the entrance to Plopsaland Basecamp about 500 metres past Plopsaland.
