Plopsaland Deutschland officially opened!

30 June 2025

Last weekend marked the official opening of Plopsaland Deutschland. With its new name, the former Holiday Park — part of the Plopsa Group since 2010 — is taking a clear step toward further development. In the coming years, the Plopsa Group plans to invest €100 million into the park and the region.

Visitors to Plopsaland Deutschland can look forward to themed areas, shows, and attractions based on popular Studio 100 characters with German roots, such as Maya the Bee, Vic the Viking, and Heidi. Two new experiences were added last weekend: a large indoor attraction featuring The Smurfs, and a themed area around the koala Blinky Bill with three additional rides. In October, a family roller coaster based on the Studio 100 animated film 100% Wolf will open.

Plopsaland Deutschland is located along popular travel routes to southern Germany, Switzerland, Italy, and Austria. Through partnerships with nearby hotels, overnight stays are available for visitors looking to make a stopover.

The new name and investments are part of a broader long-term vision. In addition to thematic expansions and daily shows, construction of the Plopsaqua Haßloch water park — a €40 million investment — will begin in September. Plans also include the construction of a hotel, a new restaurant, and a new roller coaster in collaboration with Tomorrowland.
