General Terms and Conditions for annual passes
1. Definitions
- 1.1. PLOPSA: all theme parks forming part of the Plopsa Group, namely Plopsaland Belgium, Plopsaqua De Panne, Plopsa Indoor Hasselt, Plopsaqua Hannut-Landen, Plopsaland Ardennes, Plopsa Indoor Coevorden, Plopsaland Deutschland and Majaland Pfalz, as well as any theme parks that may be added in the future.
- 1.2. Season Ticket Holder: the person who has purchased an annual pass (either online or on site) for one of the aforementioned Plopsa theme parks within the Plopsa Group.
- 1.3. Annual Pass: a valid admission ticket, owned by the annual pass holder named on the ticket, which entitles the annual pass holder to access one or more Plopsa theme parks within the Plopsa Group for a period of 12 months (unless expressly stated otherwise on the annual pass).
2. General
- 2.1. These General Terms and Conditions apply to Plopsa customers or ‘subscribers’ holding an annual pass that grants access to one of the theme parks within the Plopsa Group. An annual pass grants access only to one of the theme parks on the days when that park is open and does not grant access on days when the park is closed (for example, for a private event).
- 2.2. To gain access to the park, the subscriber may present the annual pass in person at the park entrance. It is also possible to present the annual pass digitally at the entrance. This can be done by adding the annual pass to the personal Plopsa profile in the Plopsaland Belgium or Plopsaland Deutschland app. The subscriber will only be admitted to the park if the annual pass is valid. A copy, screenshot or any other form of the annual pass does not constitute a valid admission ticket.
- 2.3. When creating the annual pass, a photograph must be selected in which the member is clearly identifiable. If, at the entrance checkpoint, it transpires that quick and easy identification using the annual pass is not possible, entry to the park may be refused. The park then has the unquestionable authority to require a new photograph to be taken.
- 2.4. An annual pass is strictly personal and non-transferable.
- 2.5. Anyone purchasing an annual pass must provide proof of identity. Annual passes purchased for persons under the age of 18 must be signed for by a parent or guardian.
- 2.6. A Plopsa annual pass entitles the holder to a wide range of benefits and discounts, which can be found here. The benefits are only valid for annual passes for those ≥ 1m and aged 70+. Junior annual passes (85–99 cm) are not eligible for benefits. The benefits may be subject to change during the annual pass’s period of validity. Subscribers can always view the current list of benefits at pass.plopsa.com.
- 2.7. Annual passes will not be extended or compensated for days on which the Plopsa parks are closed. Please note that Plopsaland Belgium will be closed from 5 January 2026 to 13 February 2026 inclusive.
3. Parking
- 3.1. Free parking is not included in a standard subscription. A subscriber has the option to purchase a parking subscription (‘Plopsa Parking Pass’) alongside their park subscription. A Plopsa Pass Europe Premium already includes a parking subscription.
- 3.2. A Plopsa Parking Pass includes free parking at the car park for which the annual pass was purchased.
- 3.3. An annual pass is linked to the address of the subscriber purchasing the annual pass. All family members living at the same address may use the same annual pass.
- 3.4. The holder of a parking subscription must hold a valid driving licence.
- 3.5. Use of the parking subscription is limited to one (1) visit per day and may only be used for one car per day, in connection with a visit to the park or theatre.
- 3.6. The annual pass does not confer any priority whatsoever, and the subscriber cannot claim a parking space on the basis of the annual pass. Under no circumstances may the subscriber claim any form of compensation should it transpire that no parking space is available.
- 3.7. The subscriber must strictly follow the instructions of the parking attendants. Parking guidelines can be found in the park regulations, available on the website of the park to be visited.
- 3.8. PLOPSA accepts no liability for accidents occurring in the car parks of any of the aforementioned theme parks.
4. Payment
- 4.1. An annual pass may be paid for by the subscriber either immediately and in full, or by monthly instalments via direct debit.
- 4.2. If the subscriber chooses to pay for the annual pass on a monthly basis, payment is made via monthly direct debit. The fixed amount must be paid each month, even if the subscriber does not visit the Plopsa parks every month. The specific terms and conditions for annual passes paid by direct debit can be viewed here.
- 4.3. Should the subscriber fail to make timely payment of any amount (whether a one-off payment of the full annual pass fee or a monthly instalment), and in the absence of any objection:
- 4.3.1. An initial reminder letter will be sent. Upon the expiry of a period of fourteen days, contractual default interest at the rate determined in accordance with the statutory interest rate shall be payable, together with a fixed compensation of:
- 20 euros if the amount due is less than or equal to 150 euros;
- 30 euros plus 10 per cent of the amount due on the portion between 150.01 and 500 euros, if the amount due is between 150.01 and 500 euros;
- 65 euros plus 5 per cent of the amount due on the portion exceeding 500 euros, subject to a maximum of 2,000 euros, if the amount due exceeds 500 euros.
- 4.3.2. Following one late monthly payment, the annual pass will be suspended until the outstanding debt has been settled by the subscriber.
- 4.3.1. An initial reminder letter will be sent. Upon the expiry of a period of fourteen days, contractual default interest at the rate determined in accordance with the statutory interest rate shall be payable, together with a fixed compensation of:
- 4.4. Both the annual pass holder and the person paying for the annual pass are jointly and severally liable for payment of the annual pass.
- 4.5. Should the subscriber encounter payment difficulties, they may contact [email protected] without obligation, and Plopsa may draw up a payment plan without obligation.
5. Duration and termination
- 5.1. Every annual pass (whether or not it includes a parking annual pass) is valid for 12 months from the date of purchase (unless expressly stated otherwise on the annual pass).
- 5.2. If the subscriber has a voucher to take out an annual pass, this voucher may be redeemed for an annual pass up to 1 year after purchase. Vouchers purchased as part of a special promotion (Pre-Summer Deal, After Summer Deal, etc.) can only be redeemed up to a specific date. This date is clearly stated on each voucher. Consequently, vouchers can no longer be redeemed for an annual pass after this date.
- 5.3. Annual passes where the subscriber has opted for monthly payments are automatically renewed unless notice of cancellation is given by registered post no later than one month before the end of the term. Following the first tacit renewal of the annual pass, the subscriber is entitled to terminate the contract without any termination fee, provided that a notice period of two months is observed.
- 5.4. Annual passes with direct payment are automatically terminated after 12 months.
- 5.5. From the last three months before the annual pass’s expiry date, the annual pass can be renewed at the preferential renewal rate. This can be done either at the ticket office of the Plopsa parks or online. After the annual pass’s expiry date, the subscriber has one month to renew the annual pass.
- 5.6. The subscriber has a 14-day right of withdrawal if they purchased the annual pass online. Notice of withdrawal must be given to Plopsa within 14 days, starting from the day after purchase, either by registered letter to De Pannelaan 68, BE-8660 De Panne, or by email to [email protected]. The subscriber may use this withdrawal form. If the subscriber has already visited the park for which the annual pass was purchased within that period, the subscriber will be required to pay a proportionate amount (i.e. the standard ticket price).
6. Price and changes
- 6.1. Plopsa reserves the right to amend the terms and conditions of the annual pass at any time. The annual pass holder will be notified of such changes in good time and has the right to cancel the annual pass.
7. Subscriber’s details
- 7.1. Should the subscriber’s personal circumstances change (e.g. bank details, address, etc.), the subscriber may update these details themselves via their Plopsa account. If this proves impossible, Plopsa must be notified of this change immediately by email to [email protected].
8. Loss of annual pass
- 8.1. If the subscriber loses their annual pass, a replacement can be requested at the ticket offices or reception desks of the various Plopsa parks for 5 EUR. In the event of theft, a replacement can be obtained free of charge on presentation of a police report.
9. Fraud
- 9.1. If the subscriber commits fraud using their annual pass, the annual pass will be confiscated and blocked. If the annual pass was added via the Plopsa profile in the app, it will also be blocked.
- 9.2. An annual pass that has been paid for in full will be permanently forfeited, and no refund will be given for the remaining period of validity. For an annual pass paid for via monthly instalments, the direct debit will remain active and the annual pass will be blocked.
10. Park Regulations
- 10.1. Acceptance of these general terms and conditions implies acceptance of the park regulations, which can be found on the website of each theme park. The subscriber must comply with the park regulations on every visit.
- 10.2. In the event of any conflict between these general subscription terms and conditions and the park regulations, the general subscription terms and conditions shall prevail.
11. Data processing
- 11.1. PLOPSA processes only the personal data of its subscribers that is strictly necessary, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation. Further information on the processing of personal data by PLOPSA and how members can exercise their rights can be found in the privacy policy on the website plopsa.com.
12. Applicable law and competent court
- 12.1. These general terms and conditions are governed exclusively by Belgian law. Any disputes arising therefrom fall within the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of West Flanders, Veurne division.
